How The Heck Did I Just… WIN NANOWRIMO 2017… twice?

Ok guys, I know this may sound super negative, BUT I AM DONE WITH WRITING.

Not for a long time, but like all of November.  And possibly December.

BECAUSE OH MY!

Did I really just write 50k in 26 days?  Like, erm, excuse moi, HOW????

I think I’m having a mental break down right now or something.

YES here is proof for all of your skeptical watermelons!

Guys I underestimated myself.  And that feels… horrid!

Because ya’ know, I thought I really knew myself!  I thought I was well aware of my limits, I thought I was on top of it all because I wasn’t going to be the one to think I could achieve something but get disappointed, NOPE NOT ME.

I mean, I guess it’s good because I over achieved.  But then again, is that a good thing?  😛

OK LET ME CLARIFY FOR Y’ ALL:

In case you haven’t been reading my posts, (and how DARE you?? jk)  I came into Nano with the expectation that I would finish Nano wrimo at a hearty, good old 25k word worth novel.

HAHA NO.

• 118 pages worth of novel (so far)
• 50,003 words total
• -1 average to win (lol)
• 1923 average words per day
• Best daily word count: 6618

Weirdest Things I had to Google For novel:

It’s a good thing that google doesn’t judge… or does it.  NOVEL IDEA

• is a permanent record in school real
• other words for gasp (WHY IS THERE NO OTHER WORD FOR THIS???)
• the cool music in thor  (I was looking for background music, OK??)
• do dogs eat cats
• writing is too hard
• synonyms for beep
• positive reinforcement poster
• how to ask a girl out to the dance (this was for the story because I literally have no experience in this field)
• slang for alleyway
• how to tie a shoe (my character didn’t know how to and my brain was not working)
• basic self defense
• stacking paper
• what are shackles

I feel like an idiot.

Mostly for taking this competiton on, for WRITING FIFTY FREAKING K, googling all that rubbish…

But I also really feel like a writer, for the first time in a loooooong time, take my word for it.

I don’t feel like doing a daily recap on how much I actually wrote.  Mostly because the numbers I wrote each day since the last Nano Chronicles were all OVER the place for goodness sake!

Like some days I wrote barely over 200, and others I would write 6000…

But the things is, once I got to like 45k, I started writing complete nonsense that made me realize what nonsense actually means:  NON SENSE.  Zero sense.  So now I’m stuck with 5k words worth of nothingness that needs to be deleted asap

For the first time in my entire life, I’ve written an actual NOVEL

That’s pretty dang big, amiright??

Seriously, this is the MOST I’ve written.. ever!  And you know what?

It wasn’t as stressful as certain bloggers make it out to be!

I technically won TWICE.  I won first when I hit 25k early, and eleven days later when I hit 50k!

I think that main thing was that I didn’t pay any attention to the word per day average stuff… I knew that would for sure stress me out.  😛 I don’t think there was ever a day that I wrote either 833 or 1667 words!

Like I mentioned in my last post, word sprints saved my life!!  I feel like over time, they got better and better as I did them.  I pretty much went from 200 words in 10 minutes to 300, and I found out that I can write a thousand words in 35 minutes or 700 words in 20 minutes.  Very jumbled.  It doesn’t make sense, I am well aware.  XD

I don’t know what to say anymore without bragging lol.  😛

Oh wait!  I do have more to say!!

Survival necessities fro Nano Wrimo:

• pretzels (the mini ones)
• grapes
• notebooks and pretty pens
• turkey
• pie
• spoonfuls of cool whip
• a will to live

I almost missed the last one on there, because I was dying from the inside.  (aka I had a sore throat.  Geez, I feel so dramatic now…)

I also had pink eye for a while.  I bet you all take for granted how much you rub your freaking eyes in one day.  I don’t anymore.  I am a changed teenager…

Yepppp!  I’m almost a TEENAGER!

THAT’S RIGHT!

I’ll be thirteen in exactly 33 days!

Let’s see, I’m not doing anything BIG.  Probably some sparkling cider that I’ll pretend is champagne (don’t worry it’s not)  in the champagne glass it’s in.  Maybe I’ll watch some princess bride, try to stay up till 9:00 to see the new Girl of the year.

Oh yeah…

AND I’M GOING TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS???

Except for the puppy.  I could do without a slobbery dog that Twila will probably plot to kill…

I always think of getting a new cute little kitten.  But Twila is erm… defensive of my love to say the least.  This is a bit gruesome, but if I got a new pet of any sort, she would try to murder it.  hehe.

Plus minions are creepy. I don’t know why I think they are, but I don’t GET why everyone thinks that they are super funny and cute.  They’re yellow creatures who serve evil.  I’m kind of scared of that Kevin tbh.

BUT HARRY POTTER!

I’m going on January 10th probably.  Because my actual birthday, New years eve, will have horrid crowds and honestly I don’t want to wait in line for a 5 minute ride for 6 hours.  Yeah, no thanks.  I’ll pass on that one.

But I get to miss school!  I am sooo ready for that.

I will be bringing my new camera and taking you guys along.  I just really want to pretend like I’m eating chocolate frogs with all of you.  I wish you could all be there. We can buy our first quidditch brooms together…

Ok I need to stop.  Anywhoooo, I’m taking tons of photos when I’m there so you guys can experience it with me because I know that for many of you, Los Angeles is not quite as… ahem, accessible or easy to get to. 😛

So there is going to be SO. DARN. MUCH.  Coming up in the next few months.

So I already told you about MY birthday, because I literally just told you if you were possibly paying any attention.  I don’t blame you if you weren’t  My attention span is as short as my temper. (Bc I’m a ginger get it?)

As for things I’m giving:  (Because giving is almost as amazing as hardcover books)

• I’m spending quite a bit of money from donations on toys for homeless kids
• I don’t want to say how much it is, because as I said, It’s quite a bit  😉

So… yeah!  Super pumped to be doing that!

As for the things that I want…

I want a new camera so. darn. badly!!!  I feel like I want to pursue my photography as a long time hobby, and a really nice camera will be able to do that for me.  The particular one that I want is the Canon Rebel t5.  But we’ll see…

AND BOOKS.
