The Redhead’s Room Tour 2017

 

 

What’s up Guys, welcome to the place where I sleep and preform most human functions necessary for survival.  Sadly, this room is lacking food, so sometimes I have to exit to fill my body with chocolate.  It’s all good though.  XD

No, today I will not be running about wildly ranting about my books.  Let’s be real.  I’ll be doing that after I type up this blog post.  BUT IT WILL HAPPEN IN THIS BEDROOM.

I’ve been debating doing a room tour, because whenever I’m in the mood to take pictures, it’s either dark outside, filled with messes, or there’s a cat on top of me.  FYI, cat’s cause temporary paralysis when sleeping on your stomach.  😉

Speaking of that ball of floof, I can see her now!

“Twila!  Look at the camera!”

Now this is the most important part of my room.  If I’m in my room, this ball of fluff is with me.  My fur bean is just a little kitty cat that resides on that blanket, and spends the majority of her time sleeping in cute positions and watching creatures of utmost interest aka birds.

She has such a hard life.  😉  XD

Moving the the left, we have my bed!

I like to say this is where I dream.  It’s much more interesting than saying it’s where I sleep.  I’m dreaming of meeting Brendon Urie most of the time, and crying when I wake up and realize none of it happened my fantasies are too unrealistic.  Questioning my existence is one of the many wonders that take place in my mind on that matress.

My favorite part of my bed is HOW AESTHETICALLY PLEASING IT IS.  Like, look at THOSE PILLOWS.  *dies*  My bedding is just so… me!  I guess it’s basically represents my personal style.

I write most of my blog posts sitting right here, petting my fur bean.   MOST IMPORTANTLY, this is where I read!

And moving right next to my bed, we have my main source of light, my reading lamp.  Truly, that reading lamp was sent from Heaven to make all my reading dreams come true.  Annnnd above my glorious heavenly angelic light, is a quote that I live by.  It’s stenciled onto my wall.

AND THEN there is onf of my very few successful attempts at drawing. GUYS IT’S A PURRRITO.

Get it???? It’s a kitty in a burrito.  I saw and Etsy listing for literally 50 bucks and I was like “hEcK nO!”  so I drew it myself.  and next to it is another painting I did.

On my dresser, there’s a little Gateway Arch figurine that Mya, one of my many kindred spirits, kindly gave to me.  THANKS YOU SMOL BEAN.

And moving to the right of my bed, (ikr, so inconsistent of me!!) we have my UNICORN.

I got my cardboard unicorn in a craft kit, and it’s my pride and joy.  It is my child.  No you may not touch it.  Only I may pet it’s perfect paper mane.

I’m currently reading the Greenglass House!  I’m loving it so much, I’m almost through with it.  It’s a really cool mystery!  (FIGHT ME MYA.)

And then there’s a book called All My Friends are Dead… it’s basically the definition of my humor.

HA you thought I had a polaroid camera.  No, I’m not that hipster.  But I had to be basic and hang some polaroids in my room, so I ordered prints online.  🙂

AND TO THE LEFT AGAIN.  We have a dresser from Target!  I’m in love with the color it’s so simple and asdfghjkl

It holds my bible stuff, and a ton of random old trends that have been collecting dust since they became “not cool”  *cough*  fidget spinners *cough*

And then we have this little seat box with a ton of doll clothes in it.  It’s also another one of Twila’s sleeping places.  *swoons*

And on my dresser we have a ton of jewelry dishes.  It’s my unofficial collection, believe me, I have many more, but only have room for 3!

Then we have a porcelain kitty cat!  >’.'<

And of course, we have a mirror so I can get ready and stuff in the morning.  There’s nothing particuarly interesting about it… I mean I guess it reflects my beautiful self!  XD jk

AND LOOK it’s a Harry Potter shirt!  😀  😀  It says don’t let the muggles get you down.

and this is my earring holder, but I was too lazy to move the earrings from my jewelry dishes to the holder, so… enjoy looking at a virtually empty piece of metal!

And then we turn to the wall in front of the bed, past the closet.

Why don’t I show you the closet?  Because Narnia is supposed to be kept a secret, duhhh.

Anyways, I have this wall decal that’s just LIFE! I spent so much time positioning those gold stickers to look just like the photos…

And we have these arrows, in case I forgot which way was up and down.

And next to that, we have an assortment of decorations!  They’re all Tumblr inspired.

We have a pom pom string that I carefully threaded, another couple polaroids, a sign from Claire’s, camera washi tape, and a little quote!

 

I made the dream catcher a long time ago, and I liked it enough to keep it and display.

And then I spent hours painting a little wooden sign with good vibes on it.  🙂

And here is my desk!

It’s a wooden plank stacked on top of two filing cabinets filled with washi tape lol.

There’s so much to describe on the desk, so this’ll be a long description.  😛

we have my blogging binder, filled with strands of creative slop that somehow turns into these posts… mostly book shouting and running about.

And then a blogging calendar!  Yep, it’s on September.  I bet you thought I was about to show you upcoming posts… NO YOU NOSY EGGPLANTS.

And then a freakily accurate painting of Twi-twi, so I can look at her even if she’s not right next to me.  Honestly, you guys have no idea how much I love my cat.  ❤

And next to all that, there’s a message board covered in fabric!  I have my collection of fortune cookies, stickers, and QUEEN TAY TAY!

And of course an adorable lamp from Walmart!

 

And this is my true joy, le bookshelf!

My mom made it for me, it is attached to the wall with wooden planks!  I love so much!  It’s so tall and strong, and really go with my room’s aesthetic. The bottom shelf is for the pretties, second is for rainbow books, third is for series’, and top is for ugly books.  (NO SHAME K.)

And for orange and yellow books, my favorites are The Egypt Game and Downriver! Spilling Ink is also a hilarious writerly guide.  😛

 

My best loved green book would have to be You Make My Heart Swing Sideways by Nanci Turner Stevenson!

For blue, I loved Fish In A Tree, Everland, and Everything Everything!

My dearest Purple book is probably Crookedstar’s Promise because of all the feels.  *sobs into pages*

And moving down from that shelf, say hello to my TBR pile for Fall!  (Disreguard the Lost Hero, Chains, and The Son Of Neptune, I’ve already read them lol)  😛  I have a lot of reading to do!  Send help!  and hershey’s products.

Next to that we have two magazine holders filled with American Girl publications.

And then we have my vintage camera from a flea market, a few polaroids, and some art I’ve done that is quite simple and easy.  Interested in a tutorial?  Let me know down below!

And next to that, we have a few watercolors my mom made for me, another polaroid from when I met Mya, and gold cardboard cameras!

And then the newest addition, a piece of wall art that I made!  The paper was a random present from my mother, and I made the text on Picmonkey, just like all of these images in this post!  And of course, Rainbow Pusheen lives with my books.

Strung across, we have kitty lights!  Below those, we have some notebooks, a tape dispenser covered in washi tape, and a mug that holds all my writing untensils.  Aaaand a candle that’s sole purpose is for aesthetic XD.

My mom made me the You are Special sign, doesn’t she have excellent handwriting?!

Next to my bookshelf, there is another vintage camers that sadly does not work, hanging from a piece of wood with a cool drawer pull attached to it!

Above hangs a kitty cat wall piece that I made myself. 🙂

And I think it’s time to show you out!  Come on, I know you want to keep looking, but it look’s like the tour is over!

On your way out, you may notice my lucky horseshoe I got from pony camp when I was 4!  And another arrow that like to make a huge racket if you even dare try to touch my door.

Well, that was my room!
