Bookish Tea Chats No.1

Bookish Tea Chats...

Hello everyone!

It’s time for a new feature on this blog! 😀

So, Welcome to Bookish Tea Chats!

What is Bookish Tea Chats?

Bookish tea chats is sort of like a talk show where I talk about random bookish/writerly things.  I ask you questions throughout the whole thing so that you guys can comment down below and we can talk because HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Wait, Sam, are you actually drinking tea?

Heck no.

I actually despise tea with every ounce within me.  The only thing even close to tea that I will drink is hot chocolate.  But let’s be realistic, “Bookish Hot Chocolate chats” doesn’t have the same ring to it as “Bookish tea Chats” does.

So, without further ado, welcome to Bookish Tea Chats!  🙂

Tea filled Topic #1:  Book I recently finished!

I recently finished You Make My Heart Swing Sideways by Nanci Turner Stevenson!  First of all, the cover is just #goals.  That, right there, is what I like.  It’s just so beautiful, and cursive calligraphy filled, and it has raspberries on the cover!  I LOVE raspberries!

Anyways, I finished this book in about a week.  It was all about friendship, adventure, going on daring escapades…. MAN, I love daring escapades!  It had the perfect balance of realistic situations and situations you would only find yourself doing in dreams.

Plus, it’s probably just the most Summery book I’ve ever read in my life.  So, err, it’s Summer, so GO READ IT!  😀

What’s the last thing that you’ve read?

Tea Filled Topic #2: My Favorite Posts Over the Past Few Weeks

Hmmm…

I follow a lot of people, and I try to read all the posts that they put up, and here are some that I have been enjoying while drinking my hot chocolate.

Click on all the links, and maybe your post is in there!  If not, still read them, they’re all amazing bloggers.  😉

This one was really awesome…

Oh, and let’s not forget this one!

I can’t choose a single post, so this is her entire blog!

Tea Filled Topic #3~Writing Prompts

Image result for 300 writing prompts

I love my 300 Writing prompts book!  It really helps me stay motivated to write, and I try to do one every day, which keeps me writing constantly!

Here is one of the entries I’ve done!

What is your favorite way to spend a lazy day?

She cuddles up closer to her tortoiseshell kitten, as the girl gently pushed the fabric through the sewing needle.  Her room was lit dimly by her desk lamp, because although she always let in light by refusing to close her blinds.  It was a deepening dark and dreary day outside her little gateway to the outer universe.  The gray, almost jet black clouds emitted heavy sheets of rain that pitter-pattered against the window.

But she loved it.  The soft mewing of her kitten, the sound of the thunder and rain mixed together, and he repetitive drumming of her sewing machine.

“Just another lazy day…” she whispered to herself, as the rain droned on.

Do you like writing prompts?

Tea Filled Topic #4: Q and A

I don’t quite know what to post over the next few weeks, so I’m holding a Q and A

Leave your questions for me in the comments. I honestly don’t really care what they’re about. If I think they’re too personal, I won’t include them in my Q and A answers post.

That post will probably be seen in a couple weeks, since I’m leaving for my grandma’s house for 9 nights soon.

Tea Filled Topic #6:  Word Of the Week

I remember I used to do like a word of the week on this blog, and now I don’t.  I probably won’t ever bring it back, (unless you want me to), but for the heck of it, I thought it’d be fun to do one today.

laconic – expressed in only a few words

Try to use that word in your comment!

Final Tea Filled Topic:  Decisions, decisions…

Which book sounds better to you?

  • The Girl Who Drank The Moon
  • The Lost track of Time
  • A Stitch in Time
  • Chasing Vermeer

And that concludes the first edition of Bookish Tea Chats!  Yes, I enjoyed my hot chocolate, thank you very much.

OOH, Q&A? My question is… favorite way to wear your hair?

I recently read a bunch of snippets from my friend’s novel Halfway to Fourteen and my other friend’s novel Autumn Rose. And I died.

OOH. THE GIRL WHO DRANK THE MOON SOUNDS INTERESTING.

There were probably other questions to answer but I forgot. 🤷🏻‍♀️

A book I recently finished was Wink Poppy Midnight. It had a GORGEOUS cover… but I was really confused by it. And about your poll: I chose The Girl Who Drank the Moon, but my sister read The Lost Track of Time and she LOVED it!

And DUUUUDE YES HOT CHOCOLATE ALL THE WAY. But actually, cold chocolate is SO good too. And for the Q&A… What did you want to be when you were younger? Is it still the same? // Give some bloggers a shoutout! // How do you want to change the world?
